ORQUESTRA MIRASOL - SALSA CATALANA

Orquestra Mirasol for Edigsa Spain from 1974.

Heavy fusion with Afro Cuban influences from 70s Catalonia.Think Mwandishi goes latin - a terrific lp.

For those of you who like this, beware that this is merely the warm-up debut of the Orquestra Mirasol. Their second (and unfortunately last) lp, the double-album "D'oca a oca i tira que et toca" (1975) may be one of the best albums ever, and it's out on CD (AND the musicians, most of them alive, are getting paid for it). PLEASE BUY IT !!!!

Calumbinho - I bought the cd "D'oca a oca i tira que et toca" which is indeed excellent and the better album. However as Salsa Catalana has not been reissued on cd and the lp is OOP I posted it.
