Bobby Jaspar for Barclay France from 1958.
MICHEL HAUSER (vibes and xylophone), FATS SADI (vibes) PAUL ROVERE & JIMMY MERRIT (bass), HUMBERTO CANTO (bongos), KENNY CLARKE (drums)
Staying in Europe but from a few years earlier here's a cracking flute tootling bongo bopping finger snappin head nodding all killer session for the flute freaks led by Bobby Jaspar. The European connection comes full circle with this album which features Fats Sadi & Kenny Clarke who would go on to work with Sahib Shihab in both the illustrious Clarke Boland Band and his solo projects. Also of note is the appearance of Jimmy Merrit who would go on to anchor so many Jazz Messengers LPs of the 60s and in later years form an integral part of Lee Morgan's ensemble.

This looks interesting as always!
An additional upload at any other service would be appreciated (I won't renew at RS because of their new policies, and free downloading has more or less been disabled).
Vive les Belges!

Sorry for bothering, it finally worked and I got it now. It is beautiful, thank you! Flute and vibes together, a nice sound.
thank you sweet indeed
never heard of it, but the bacoso seal of approval is enough of a guarantee for me, and flute/vibes is a sound that I can never enough of!
Cool, thanks.
Thank you very much
Great album Bacoso!Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for the wonderful music and info on your blog. Just catching up with all the posts now and some truly beautiful music here. with the demise of some of the smaller second hand jazz record shops comes the rise of some truly inspirational blogs. in years to come your site and others like it will have been responsible for igniting and reigniting a passion for jazz - more so than magazines and in tandem with the best radio shows. Thanks again.

Sadi is one of the unsung heroes of the vibes. He died a couple of years ago. I recommend his LP "Ensadinado" on MPS.
Cheers

A new recording of Bobby J. Well, it is new to me and most welcome. And please ignore the complaints about R'share. It works well for me!
Thanks again and keep up the good work.
