LES DEMERLE - TRANSCENDENTAL WATUSI

Les DeMerle for United National Records from 1976.
Les DeMerle-Drums;Dido-Congas;Don Menza-Sax,Flute;Jim Coile-Sax;Rex Robinson-Bass;Ramsey Embick-Keyboards;Ronald Muldrow-Guitar;Ralph Bickert-Trumpet.
Super heavy funky fusion recorded live at Howard Rumsey's gaf in Redondo Beach.
Some great banging tunes but the killer cut is the 100m.p.h. bomb "Daggerpoint" which sounds like Barry Miles on amphetamines !

I'd like to apologize. Last night I made a request underneath another post for to reup an album that had been blocked by rapidshare before I read your note about not re-upping anymore. My mistake. Keep up the good work, I dig your blog.

Extraordinary drummer! Thanks!

I hear this guy's name, first thing I think of is OC's "Times Up". Classic sampling an ill funk groove.
Thanks for this one, never heard it.

Eu estava no meu canto, meu apê..rs

loving to ear food too :o)

Thanks Bacoso. I only recently discovered Les DeMerle. Great stuff, I'll look around for other albums.
And I've always been a fan of Ronald Mulgrow, great ut somewhat underrated guitarplayer.
Cheers
