Another latin library banger from the wonderful Robin Jones.
The big cuts spinnin' out the jazz dancers back in the day were "Atlas" and "El Maja" and you can hear that the Jones seven had assimilated much of the boogaloo and funk influences from Mighty Mongo's band of the time.
As you can probably guess this one's yet another

Once again, another top class Lp. Again been after this for a long time!. The track Batacada Da Vida is all time jazzroom classic!
p.s where do I know "Atlas" from? I know i've got it on a comp from somewhere ....
@Simon atlas is one of those tracks that's been comped a lot over the years... One of those London jazz dance classics as blue note says

aha, finally worked out that I'd just got "Atlas" a few days before from london-jazz-classics-1 ... had bought volumes two and three years before and had always wondered about volume 1. Anyway check em out if you don't kniw them, great comps.
