SADAO WATANABE - OPEN ROAD

Sadao Watanabe for CBS / Sony Records Recorded Live on 2 May 1973.
Sadao Watanabe (as,fl,sn), Syunzoh Ohno (tp,flh), Hiroshi Fukumura (tb),Kohsuke Mine (ts,ss),Takehiro Honda (p,el-p), Yoshio Suzuki (b),Fumio Watanabe (ds), Yuji Imamura (per), Strings

Bacoso's back with a bang and a blogland Jap Jazz exclusive!
This is a monster of a double live set from 1973 with Sadao and heavyweight friends. It really is as good it looks and covers all the bases - modal to hard bop to jazz rock to a banging batucada finale which sounds like it blew the roof of the Hibiya Kohkaido in Tokyo.
Let the music do the talking - this one truly is
ALL KILLER NO FILLER !

There are no coincidences - today I was listening to Blakey's Orgy In Rhythm, and , naturally, was thinking of all you have brought to the scene. And then, somebody commented that you were back.

Best news I've heard in weeks.

More power to you, brother.
